Be it an important data in a tabular form on some website or a list of events that you want to refer to. The new feature helps you store the data as a knowledge base for your chatbots. Moreover, you can import the data from various structured data types such as XML, HTML, CSV, TSV, and RSS and ATOM XML feed.
As Hybrid.Chat’s chatbots are powered by Google Sheets, you can use the following to get the data:
- IMPORTDATA: To import data from a URL in .tsv (tab-separated value) or .csv (comma-separated value) format.
- IMPORTXML: To import data from XML with Xpath Query
- IMPORTFEED: To import ATOM or RSS feed.
- IMPORTRANGE: To important a range of cells from a given spreadsheet.
- IMPORTHTML: To import data from a list or table within an HTML page.
We implemented this feature in our Coronavirus Self-help Bot: Cori to fetch the data from World Of Meters for providing updates to users.
